Design collection
As a conteporary artist it wasn't enough for me anymore the idea of people looking at my art only on canvas. So I decided to shift my conteporary paintings into design collection object in order to create unique pieced in limited edition. The uniqueness stays in the facts that these objects have been created by conteporaryartists. The succes of this innovative vision of design collection is based in the absolute exclusion of the productive and commercial part in the creative phase. Objects are created without thinking about sales. Succes lays in the fact that marketing and people who are actually producing have never given indications about how things had to be done, which is what's happening instead in traditional designing. Francesco Cuomo realises all this, living with art creating art to be lived. Water, earth and fire: three elements that represent the essence of our world and our potter culture, transformed with mastery and passion for art, mixing colours and tradition. The ceramic vases are contemporary artwork are realised by expert Italian artisans who shape and etch by hands clay blocks once the shape is made, through the use of lathes and their expert hands. In doing so they shift my conteporary paintings onto them, creating a unique-both in shapes and decoration- artistic design collection object.
